Thank you for the quick reply. We will most likely go down the route of using something like Patch My PC to manage these.

Also, a big thanks for all of these videos. They have been a huge help with getting SCCM setup.

#2 – Yeah, there are still some manual steps in the content publishing today in the SCCM in-console publishing. That’s why most customers prefer using our publishing service: https://patchmypc.com/introducing-automated-third-party-patch-management-for-microsoft-sccm. We are working with the SCCM product group and they are aware this flow needs to be improved for automation. If you use our update catalog, previous updates will be automatically superseded https://patchmypc.com/moving-to-supersedence-software-update-model. The free Adobe catalog doesn’t mark previous updates expired/superseded.

#3 Yes, we do.

1. It looks like in the latest version (1810) you have the ability to add 3rd party update catalogs via URL. I was able to add Adobe Reader’s catalog and pull down updates.

2. Doing so made me realize that this may cause some manual work each month where I have to manually publish the updates to WSUS. I imagine I would also have to publish all the old ones so I can mark them expired?

3. Does Patch My PC take care of expiring old 3rd party apps?
